Jean-Michel Lengrand – La Boudeuse
Museum-quality giclée of Jean-Michel Lengrand’s La Boudeuse (The Sulker) (2022), beautifully framed (12×12″).
Description
This painting evokes the journey of the French navigator, explorer end writer Bougainville.
This ancient musketeer, born in 1726 was the first French captain to sail around the world.
His journey was immense.
In the Caribbean, he joined Saint Thomas and Les Saintes and brought back to Europe the flowering shrub named bougainvillea.
His boat was called La Boudeuse.
The evocation of the vessel in a shell and the character of the back correspond to the title I gave to this painting.
